I built the first version of this for my own wedding. We had a tight budget, so a lot of things were DIY — including the music. I needed one track for the ceremony and a different one for the reception, and ended up fighting with an audio editor at 1am the night before just to get the fades right.
It worked out, but it shouldn't take that much effort. So I built the tool I wished existed — and it turns out the same problem shows up for parties, birthdays, and pretty much any moment that needs its own soundtrack.
