I built this after DIY-ing my own wedding music on a tight budget — one seamless track for the ceremony, a different one for the reception, stitched together and faded from songs off different albums using clunky free software that wasn't built for this. Along the way I also ran into something small but annoying: Spotify and apps like it won't let you trim a song, even though for a mix you rarely need the whole track.
It worked out, but it shouldn't take that much effort. So I built the tool I wished existed — and it turns out the same problem shows up for birthday parties, hora loca, and pretty much any event that needs its own soundtrack.
